Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I welcome you to Bordeaux to attend the 33rd Postgraduate Course and the 47th Annual scientific Meeting of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology, from June, 7th to 11th, 2010.
Surrounded by the green of the vineyards, near the ocean, and the forest, Bordeaux rises proudly on the banks of the Garonne. Bordeaux is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site: this architecture is classical and neoclassical and met with nearly no stylistic changes for over two centuries.
The meeting venue is Bordeaux convention centre, which is in the north of the city; remember that for your accommodation, you can choose to stay close to the congress centre, or downtown, which is more pleasant.
The postgraduate course will take place on June 7 and 8. there will be lectures on aspects of neuro, chest, heart and vessels, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal and foetal imaging; we also deal with non-accidental trauma and teleradiology. It’s my pleasure to invite renowned speakers for these up-to-date lectures.
Annual meeting is being held the last 2 and half days. there will be a series of scientific sessions, update lectures; these lectures will be about molecular and functional imaging, research and paediatric radiology. The Jacques Lefebvre conference will be about antenatal imaging and its consequences. Symposiums about whole body imaging, low dose imaging, will be given in conjunction with industry.
Thanks to all those participants who submitted scientific material for oral presentation or poster exhibition.
Social programme will include a welcome reception at City Hall, sightseeing tour in Bordeaux, but also to Saint Emilion or to the sea in Arcachon, and a gala dinner right in the heart of the city.
I hope that you will enjoy all the aspects of the meeting and also the city. Thanks you all for coming, I look forward to seeing you in Bordeaux.
